Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

No, I have not been listening to Christmas music.  (I feel I am one of the very few people that believes Christmas music is only to be played Dec. 20 - Dec. 25 each year...and that is pushing it...)  But here in the Denver area there is snow on the way!  Or so they say...

We live in the light purple (8-12"of snow) area above the sign that says: Colorado Springs.
My question is:  is it going to snow as much as they say it will?  Or is this another "false alarm" where they predict a lot of snow and we get an inch (or less)?  We will have to wait and see.

In the meantime, I'm going to wear every fluffy/fuzzy article of clothing I own and enjoy the night in with Luke.

Speaking of Luke...we've got some exciting news!  He's going on a few trips this next week- second interviews here he comes!  (And the smarty pants got second interviews with almost every company he had a first interview with so far.)  He will be going to Anchorage, Alaska to interview with bp, somewhere in Louisiana to interview with Schlumberger, Brighton, Colorado to interview with Halliburton, and somewhere in Indiana to interview with Arcelor Mittal.

The first 3 trips are all within one week!  (So much for doing a lot of sight-seeing while he's out and about.)  Wish us luck!  (Well mostly wish him luck on his interviews, but also wish me luck not being bored without him around...)

Friday Afternoon Cartoons

This week I found some funny things to share.

This one is from pinterest:

Luke and I laughed so hard when we saw this...  Luke is also considering a wardrobe change for his upcoming interviews...  (You know more "ninja"-neer, not so much engineer...maybe...we'll see.)

Speaking of interviews...Luke is going to Louisiana for an on-site interview (2nd interview) the first weekend of November.  He also has another first interview with a new company next week.

And in the meantime, we wait.

In other funny, not that funny, but kind of funny (in a laugh instead of cry type of way) news, a pastor recently called our religion a cult on national television.

Well Mr. Jeffress...this one's for you:  (from the Salt Lake Tribune)

Also Mr. Jeffress, if you really want know what our religion is about you can visit Mormon.org.  And I would suggest doing so before your next interview with Anderson Cooper.

That is if there is a next interview...

Cheers!  Happy Friday!

Musicality

Is musicality even a word?  They use it on So You Think You Can Dance, therefore I'm not quite sure if it's a word or not.  (If you are a fan of "SYTYCD" you will be familiar with Lil' C and his made up words...all.the.time...)

Anyway.

Once upon a time there was a singer.  I really like her voice.  (She does, however, use some language when she's not singing that I'm not so fond of...)  She made a new music video.  And I think it's awesome!

Here it is:  (...well kinda...click the arrow thingy, then click 'Watch on YouTube'.  Then you can watch.)

P.S.  I met Sara once.  Actually twice.  But I only have actual proof of one meeting, so you will just have to take my word for it...

Laura, Sara, and me at the Belly Up in Aspen Colorado...circa 2007...I think...

In other news, Luke has a job interview today for a company in Colorado.  (This is his second interview at this company, so that's really exciting.)  He has already interviewed with one other company and he also has interviews with 3 other companies this week.

Wahoo!  Go Luke!
