Upper South Fork Trail

Today we went hiking.  It was Luke's parents last day, so we needed to pack in more fun!

We decided to hike up towards some lakes (Eagle and Symphony) near our house on the Upper South Fork Trail.

We didn't go all the way to the lakes, but Luke and I still wanted to go and do some trail investigation for future trips up there.
It's a gradual uphill for quite some time from the trailhead.   This is looking back North, towards the trailhead.
They are in the middle of doing some trail maintenance...that's why the trail looks funny.
Some downhill time to get to the bridge

Notice how some of the trees/bushes look dead?  Well they aren't...from what I've heard there was there was a huge worm problem last year.  They ate all the buds, and now things are slowly trying to recover.

My favorite hiking buddy!
It was a beautiful day for a hike!  We were so grateful that we had such nice weather this week!

Before going to the airport tonight, we went to Moose's Tooth for dinner.  We had the Lu-Wow pizza and a jug of root beer.

With "bribes" like these, of course the Hanzon parents will come back to visit us!  :)

It was fun to have them around this past week!
