(It snowed today. When Luke told me it was snowing I said "are you kidding me?!?"...and then I went back to sleep.)
Today was the commissioning of the USS Anchorage. Tickets were free but you had to send in a request for them. And since Alaska
LOVES the military, the tickets were gone in no time. (Alaska also has the most retired military per capita than any other state...go us!)
We were still able to attend...via the wonderful world wide web. Seeing all the people sitting there under their umbrellas made me glad I was at home under my blanket! (Besides unless you were on the front row you probably couldn't see anything...umbrellas are wonderful and rude all at the same time.)

And then everyone was told to take their positions on the boat...not the exact wording that was used, but you get the idea.
