Baby Quilt

My grandma was an amazing seamstress.  Actually both of my grandmas were!

And then there's me... I took sewing in high school but I've never been super serious about it.  Basically I'm lazy.  I want to be good at it without having to sew or practice sewing very often...

However, sometimes I still want to make stuff.  (Especially after finding a very cool fabric website and finding an easy fat quarter quilt tutorial on pinterest.)

I was worried it would be a project I "started but never finished" kind of thing.  But, I actually finished it! (Well, with the help of my friend Lindsay's sewing machine so I could do the binding part--which I did differently than the tutorial because the way a lady showed me at the local quilting shop seemed way easier...)

Anyways, behold the quilt--

If I ever make another one, there are a few things that I would want to do differently...but overall I'm very happy with it.  (And baby Chewie isn't going to care that it isn't perfect.)

Here is a closer look of the fabric and the quilting (which I did not do.  I had a lady with a quilting machine do it!)
