And then I talked to my mom, and she mentioned something about not getting any updates.
I know. I know. I've been slacking.
So here we go.
Updates.
We spent Christmas in Broomfield Colorado with most of Luke's family. It was fun to see everyone! Luke hadn't even met his nephew James-who is almost a year old! We also got to see my sister Wendi before she left for Utah for Christmas. And we went to Franktown to see my "work family"! (Yay for clean teeth!!! And no cavities!) We also got to hang out and have dinner with some of our friends in Parker. And we got to meet their cute kids! We got to meet April's baby Luke (great name choice) and Chan and Steven's baby Beckett (who I like to call Baby "B".)
And we ate at Chic-fil-a whenever we could.
Oh Colorado (and Utah for that matter)... Why do you have to be so far away?
Lame.
Here are some of the very few pictures I took on our trip...
The living nativity. Featuring Chase as baby Jesus, Mason as Joseph, Avery as Mary, and James as a cow...(they were in a stable after all...)
The paparazzi...
We even got a white Christmas! (which hasn't happened in Colorado for a long time...)
Check out this icy treacherousness:
See...all we need to do is smooth it out, and put up a fence. It's practically hockey-ready!
Only 4 more months of winter to go! Wahoo!
And in other news- for those of you who don't know...Luke and I are expanding our family!
Little baby Hanzon is due June 12. Our ultrasound appointment is next week. And the week after that is my 20 week/half way mark. CRAZY! We didn't tell anyone until right before Christmas. (We are super sneaky like that!)
Things have gone pretty well so far. Some days are definitely better than others! I now have a super sensitive nose (if I had a super power- I would NOT want it to be smell!), food isn't as exciting as it used to be (which would be good...if I were on a diet!), and my sleeping patterns are very similar to that one time...when I had MONO!
Oh and I feel like I should get a sticker every time I eat vegetables. Fruit is ok. Veggies...they're a bit harder.
Salad gives me heartburn. And so do brownies. (C'mon silly baby...You can't punish me for BOTH! Pick one. Healthy? Unhealthy? It must be a girl. Or I guess it could be a super indecisive boy...)
So here's to a new year and whole new experiences!
The adventure continues...
Congratulations!!!! You'll be great parents!
