Land of the Disappearing Sun

Daylight Savings Time ended...and things started getting a lot darker around here.  (Technically things get darker everywhere around this time of year...but being this far North, things are way more extreme!)

Our view of the sun (at the end of our street) at10:30 a.m. 

The sun is already having a hard time making it over the mountains.  Pretty soon we will only see it while it's in the "v"...and there will be a couple of months where our house won't get any direct sunlight at all.  None.  Zero.  Weird, huh?
