Election Worker Training

When I registered to vote in Alaska, I filled out this card saying I would like to be an election worker.  Well...now I'm a chairman, and I had to recruit a co-chair and other people to help me... (Luke is one of my recruits. :)  I couldn't believe they asked me to be a chairman.  I have never even worked in an election before!  The election office didn't seem to care about that.  If nothing else, it will be an adventure!

Anyway, today was training.  My co-chair (Cherie) and I went together.  And I'm going again on Saturday with Luke.  (I don't have to go twice, but I do want to hang out with him.  He's in training his whole time off...poor guy!)

After training we went to Spenard Roadhouse to have lunch.  It was my first time ever eating there.  I thought the food was quite tasty!

Plus they serve tater-tots.  Not many places are like that!
