Musk Ox Farm and Talkeetna Trip

Today we all (mom, dad, Wendi, Luke and I) went to visit the Musk Ox farm in Palmer, AK.

Even though their called musk ox, they are members of the goat family.  Just in case you were wondering...

As our tour guide took us around the farm, some of the animals came up to the fences to say hello (but mostly to beg for food).  We got to meet Greyling, Little Rock (Rocky), and Eve.

 The musk ox farm is really cool!

But we couldn't stay there forever--we had other places to go!  We left and drove to Talkeetna.  And no, we didn't get to see Mt. McKinley.  Stupid clouds!

We stopped by the Talkeetna Lodge to see the view from their deck.

And then we continued on into town.  

We ate at the West Rib Cafe.

And we got to see the mayor!!!  This is Stubbs.  Mayor of Talkeetna.

On the way home we stopped in Houston, AK and got ice cream for dessert.

Whew!  What a fun day!
