Life is Short...Eat Cookies for Breakfast!

So, my evil sister Wendi sent me a link to a blog with a delicious cookie recipe.  (This "blog lady" also sells the most amazing scripture study journals. of. all. time....so if you're not into cookies, maybe that will interest you instead...)

The problem with them is that you have to chill the dough in the fridge, then roll the dough into balls, and then FREEZE it....and if you make the dough at night, they won't be frozen until the next day, and then you will want to make the cookies for breakfast.

Just sayin'....

We had the missionaries from church over for dinner tonight.  We had lasagna, green beans, and garlic bread...and milk and cookies for dessert.  It was delicious!  (They are really great elders.  One is from Arizona, and one is from Idaho.)

We also made a delicious lemonade concoction.  Recently I was introduced to a very delicious lemon basil blueberry smoothie recipe, and I had a thought today to try and make lemon-basil-blueberry-ade.

Oh. My. Delicious!  Luke worked his magic and made the wonderful beverage to go with our dinner.  I would give you the recipe...but that would be way too easy...  All I can tell you is that there is Minute Maid Lemonade concentrate, water, blueberries, basil, vanilla extract, and truvia.  (And if Luke ever writes down exactly what he put in and how much, I'll be sure to pass that along to you!)

While we were out on a walk after dinner (having cookies for breakfast and dinner means one must go on walks...), we saw the most unusual pine tree.  At least we think that's what it is.

It has pinecone looking things on it..doesn't that mean it's some sort of pine tree??

But it doesn't really have needles on it...

Odd.

And it's been cold and windy today.  And by windy, I mean windy, but not even close to as windy as Colorado or Utah gets.  (So neener neener!)

We are hopeful that things will be greening up around here soon.  All the trees have this green halo around them.  The leaves are there.  Waiting.  And so are we!
