What would YOU do for a medal??

Luke and I decided to get some neck candy the hard way...by running a LONG WAY...192 miles to be exact...

Where did we run?  From Logan, Utah to Park City, Utah.

Did we have help?  YES! There were 12 people on our team (including us).

Did our team have an awesome name?  Totally.  The Red Hot Chili Steppers.

Did it take a long time?  Most definitely.  About 32.5 hours.

What was this craziness called?  RAGNAR! (insert awesome theme music here...)

And no, it's not this Ragnar (of Minnesota Viking fame)

It's this Ragnar (of the Ragnar Relay fame)

Is it even legal?  Considering the miles of running and lack of sleep, your body wishes it wasn't...

Is it worth it?  Definitely.  (The medals are also bottle openers.  Love that 2 for 1 deal!  BONUS!)

Luke and I had such a great time!  We are definitely doing it again...sometime.  :)

Here are some pictures to show the fun
Running my first leg (6.7 miles)
At the end of my first leg...almost...
Handing the baton/slap bracelet to Darren

Luke getting ready to run his first leg (6.9 miles)
He got the baton from Lowana, and he's off!
He ran over Avon Pass.  It was SO pretty!
Luke handing off to Sage.  (And he got a card for a free meal at Cafe Rio...  Lucky!)
Running at night.  My second leg was 3 miles.
And this is the part where we would have a sweet picture of Luke running his second leg (8 plus miles uphill), but no such luck.  He finished at 4 a.m.  I was too tired to remember pictures.  Oh and there's the fact that we couldn't find the exchange place in time...oh well...

At the end of my last leg (3.7 miles)  HOORAY!
Luke starting his last leg.  (3 miles...easy right?  not after running 13...)
At the end...he made it!
Here are some random pictures from along the way...
We were in Van 1...which was actually a truck...which Luke and I LOVED!
Van 1 survivors.  Mason, Lowana, Darren, Liz, Luke and me.
Nope.  Ragnar is not a 5k.
I wish the port-a-potties we called something a little less...sweet...
Luke's favorite
A very good question...
Luke was very tired...we both were.  And we walked funny.
But it was fun...  IT REALLY WAS!
Colorado 2012?  Totally!
