2 Stakes...Feeds more!

Today we had Stake Conference (sadly, no red meat involved...)  Our Stake -the Parker Stake- was divided, and the Parker South Stake was created.  (We are still in the Parker Stake.) The growth of the church here is incredible, and it's only going to get bigger and stronger.

Here are some factoids for you:
In 1996 the Parker Stake was created with 2,700 members.
In 2004 the Parker Stake was divided and the Castle Rock Stake was formed.
In 2011 the Parker Stake was divided again and the Parker South Stake was formed.
Today the number of members in those 3 stakes is 9,600.

In other news- Luke and I went on a delightful Sunday walk today.  We found a great trail very close to our apartment.  It was nice to get out and enjoy the beautiful day!
