Matanuska Glacier and other adventures...

In August we had some visitors!  Luke's parents and his brother Zane came to Alaska for about a week.  It was so fun to have them!
Karrick hanging out with Grandma T
August 10- we went hiking on Matanuska glacier.  It was so cool! (There's a double meaning in that...)
Thanks aunt Kara for the awesome hat!  It was perfect for our glacier adventure!

We're getting closer.......
So much fun!

There's Luke hiking away. (I had some fun with the snapseed app on this picture.)
Ice trekkers make glacier hiking possible (as well as any kind of walking around in Alaska from Oct-Apr)

I HAD to get a picture of Karrick on the glacier--even though he hated the sun in his eyes..
August 11- we drove up Hatcher's Pass to Independence Mine...
It was raining so Karrick, Luke and I stayed in the truck while the rest of the gang hiked to Gold Cord Lake.

August 14- we drove down to Seward...
It was such a beautiful day!
Karrick's "seriously mom?" face that he pulled while we were hanging out in the car.
