When I took out the garbage this morning I noticed the mountains have some fresh snow on them.
Here that first dusting of snow is referred to as termination dust. And to let you know exactly what that means I will refer to the book my aunt Sheryl co-wrote while she lived in Anchorage in the 70's (and that I stole from my mom before we moved up here...) It's called Anchorage Altogether.
This is what it says about termination dust:
(Seattle? I'm thinking more like Hawaii...at least for a week or two. Just so we can remember what the sun looks like...)
