My friend Cherie and I went to Girdwood today to hike Winner Creek Trail.
It was a beautiful day! It was good to get outside and enjoy the sun! We have had clouds and rain for a week or so...
The trailhead is behind the Hotel Alyeska.
The trail is fairly easy. There were some tricky snowy parts, but we survived! It's a beautiful place. There were are a
TON of mosquitos though! I think I only got bit once. The key was to keep moving!!!

The turn around point for the trail is a hand tram. But it wasn't open. Sad! (It wasn't a surprise though. There was a sign at the very beginning that said it was closed. We went anyway.)

Right before you get to the hand tram you cross a bridge over Winner Creek Gorge. It was so pretty! I couldn't believe how powder blue the water was...I probably could have stayed there all day and stared at it.
