Wendi arrived safely early this morning. Hooray!
We started out the day (after a short night's rest) taking a trip to the grocery store. (My dad opted to stay at my house and work while we went shopping...)
And then we all (mom, dad, Wendi, and I) drove up to Wasilla so he could show us around his properties. (Luke and I have been up there with my dad to see his properties, but this is my mom and Wendi's first trip to Alaska so they haven't ever seen them.)
Anyway...first we went to the unfinished house (with the unfinished landscaping):
And then we went to the "big" house... I didn't take any pictures there, but on the way back toward Wasilla I took this picture from the car. Anybody want a sweet new boat?? (well...maybe it's not
that new...)
Next stop was the warehouse (that has a cake store in it) and the apartment building.
Then we drove to see the Meadow Creek Center.
And since we were in the neighborhood, we drove over to Big Lake.
After all of that I got sleepy, and stopped taking pictures. Sorry!
If you are wondering where Luke is, he is down in Homer Alaska doing training for work. He says it's beautiful there! Here are some pictures he has sent:
