Up Dog, Library, Sun Dog

No, that's not a new yoga move...It was my day today.  I took Luke to work and then went to a yoga class.  Then I went to the library in Eagle River (which is a branch of Anchorage Public Libraries) and I got a library card...and a book!  Hooray for reading!

My awesome key chain library card, and the book I checked out.
On my way into the library I saw the most curious thing.  There were 2 vertical rainbow looking things around the sun, and tiny ice crystal snow flakes falling from the sky.  Another lady, who was also walking into the library, turned to me and said "aren't those beautiful sun dogs?"  I said "yes they are!  I'm new so I've never even seen that before..."  She said "Welcome to Alaska."

I didn't even think to take a picture...It's hard to take pictures of things outside.  Why, you ask?  Because it's FREEZING...that's why!  All I have on my mind when I'm outside, is getting back inside.

Luckily for all of you (and me too), the sun dogs were still there after I left the library and drove down to Anchorage to pick up Luke from work.

These pictures were taken from the car.  :)

There was another one on the other side of the sun, but this is the only side I got the picture of...due to a building being in the way...stupid building.  So inconsiderate!

I'm excited to see all the things Alaska has to offer....the many, many, many things!

Oh, remember Lezlie?  Our wonderful friendly neighbor??  She has struck again!  She brought us dinner tonight.  Taco soup with cheese quesadillas and chocolate mint cookie dough to bake for dessert (we didn't bake it...we just ate the dough...)  It. was. All. So. Good.

We have the best neighbor EVER!!!
