North!...to Alaska...Seriously..

We are moving to Alaska!

Let me back up...

Luke graduated from Colorado School of Mimes Mines with his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering back in May 2011.  Since then he has been looking for a job.  This has been a very frustrating time for him, and me too...but not as frustrating as it has been for him.

In September 2011, the School of Mines had their semi-annual career fair which Luke attended.  Since that time he has been interviewing with all sorts of companies.  Mostly in the energy industry.

Well folks I am excited to announce that our prayers and patience...but mostly prayers...have paid off!  Luke was offered (and accepted) a job working in Alaska for BP.  He will be a Surface Engineer in their Challenger (Training) Program.


We are excited for this new adventure!

But we are moving to Alaska in January (brrrrrr!), and I cannot find the box where I packed away my beanies.

Seriously?

    Yay!!! We are so excited for you, except the part where you will be so far away. But mostly just WAY excited. CONGRATULATIONS! And I will learn to knit so I can make you more beanies. And maybe a scarf. :)
