March fires bring.....?

Last Thursday evening I received a text from a friend asking "Are you ok?"  Confused, I wrote back saying "I'm just fine."  She then told me she was worried since there was a fire burning in Franktown, Colorado near the dental office I work at (Burning Tree Family Dentistry).  I had Thursday off, so I had no idea what was going on down there.  I texted a co-worker to ask what was going on.  She said the office had been evacuated, and the fire had been named the Burning Tree Fire since it started in the Burning Tree Subdivision.
The fire headed North at first (away from Burning Tree), through the open space between Franktown and Parker.  Luckily the winds shifted at the right time, and the fire burned itself out.  Not before it burned 1600 acres though.  The fire also got very close to my boss' and another co-worker houses...  It was just 2 houses away!  Scary!

And just this afternoon, driving home from church, we saw yet another fire on a hill near our apartment.
So much for March being the "snowiest" month.
